Tyrol Castle
Description
The mighty Castle Tyrol, built in the 12th century, is a significant historical landmark in South Tyrol. It features a museum that chronicles the region's history from its inception to the present day. The castle is accessible via a pleasant walk through the vineyards from the village of Tirolo, which is 5 km from Merano. The path is stroller-friendly.
To be noted that the interior of the castle has une-ven cobblestones in the inner courtyard and numerous stairs, which are uncomfortable for people with walking difficulties.
