Along the Marlinger Waalweg
Description
This path is near Merano, at the beginning of the Venosta Valley.
Here, there's one of the most functional water networks in the Alps developed over time, with kilometres of pipelines dug into the earth or rock, the so-called "waale" or rogge.
The Marlinger Waalweg is one of the most beautiful, as it offers a spectacular view of the surrounding peaks, crosses beautiful landscapes where meadows and woods alternate with vineyards and orchards. The path enjoys a superb view of the Merano basin and the imposing Tessa mountain range.
