Rodengo Castle

Rodengo Castle is one of the most majestic fortresses of its time in South Tyrol.
The castle lies on a narrow stripe of land surrounded by the Rienza River. Ramparts that extend from a great height support it. Despite its seemingly inaccessible location, an easy carriage road from Rio di Pusteria leads to the castle.
Inside the castle, there is the oldest secular fresco cycle in South Tyrol.
It is a private residence. In-house Staff offers guided tours by appointment.
The castle structure is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties.
