Innsbruck
Description
120 km. from Bolzano, 40 km after the Brenner border, lies the city of Innsbruck, the most im-portant town of the ancient Tyrol.
It is worth visiting the historical and religious buildings such as the Hofburg (the little Schoenbrunn of Maria Theresa), the Hofkirche with the funeral monument of Maximilian, and the famous 28 bronze statues. Not to miss are the squandering Cathedral of St. James and the famous Golden Roof wanted by Maximilian I, considered the symbol of Innsbruck.
