The strudel and bread festival in Bressanone
Description
On the first Sunday of October, the smell of fresh bread invades the streets of Bressanone. In Piazza Duomo, bakers bake loaves and different kinds of bread with walnuts, sesame, sunflower seeds, or fennel seeds, with rye flour or apples, pears, and plums. They also bake strudel, the traditional wrapped cake, filled with apples, cinnamon, raisins, and nuts.
